Railway Gardens

20-26 Commercial St, Robertstown SA 5381

Robertstown's Railway Gardens houses what remains of the old Robertstown railway station. Also known as the Goyder Interpretive Gardens, it was established to have the vegetation on either side of the garden represent the difference in flora either side of the famous Goyder's Line.

Goyder's Line

Goyder's Line was mapped by George Goyder, to demarcate areas that received enough rainfall to sustain crops, and those that did not.

Community Features

The Railway Gardens are also home to a small undercover rest area paved with bricks naming those contributing to its completion, and a history of Robertstown and artwork by local children. For more information, please contact the Community Centre.
